The Greater Kansas City Society of Ultrasonographers
Student Scholarship
There will be two scholarships available for sonography students who meet the necessary qualifications for the Greater Kansas City Society of Ultrasonographers Scholarship Award. This scholarships are $250.00 each. The winners will be announced and scholarships presented at the May GKCSU meeting.

Requirements:
The candidate must:
1. Be a student member of the GKCSU.
2. Be an ultrasound student in the greater Kansas City area who will be in school during the year of the award.
3. Sign an agreement that if he or she would leave school before, or at the end of the first semester after receiving the scholarship, all of the scholarship moneys would be returned to the GKCSU
The applicants are encouraged to attend the monthly meeting to receive their award.

Application Procedure:
1. Complete the scholarship application form
2. Submit two (2) letters of recommendation, in a sealed envelope
3. Submit a Personal Essay
4. Program Directors verification as to the candidate's student status
5. Submit for GKCSU student membership

Directions for Personal Essay:
Essay must be typewritten on a separate piece of paper and must be 500 words or less in length, double-spaced and in 12-point font. Essay content must include the following information about yourself:
1. Personal or academic achievements
2. Reason for entering the Diagnostic Medical Sonography
3. Career goals
4. Financial need

Incomplete or late application will not be considered.
